Advocacy Utilizing firsthand experience as a former Belmar Main Street business owner, Johanna Roper-Robinson is committed to cultivating a thriving Main Street economy that benefits both business owners and residents. With a passion for revitalizing the once-thriving Main Street, she draws upon over 25 years of corporate retail management experience and creative skills honed through her education at FIT. Johanna's advocacy is fueled by her recognition of the untapped potential within the community, driving her to leverage her lived experiences and expertise to spearhead positive change and foster growth within Belmar's vibrant Main Street district.

Independent Prospective
As a lifelong resident of Belmar, Johanna Roper-Robinson brings invaluable local insight and a commitment to authentic independent thinking to her various roles within the community. She currently serves as a member of the Belmar Public Library’s Board of Trustees, having held the position of Vice President in 2023. Additionally, Johanna has contributed significantly to the Belmar Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization, serving as its Vice President from 2016 to 2019. She is also deeply involved in the Belmar Woman’s Club, where she holds the position of Education Chair and is Vice President-elect. Johanna's dedication to community service is inspired by her mother, Grace T. Roper, who was a revered figure in Belmar, serving as a Board of Education Member, Director of the Library, and author of "Belmar in Retrospect."
